...But which comes first? Are you defined by who you are, with your expression flowing naturally from that essence?

Or must you first express yourself, and in doing so become who you are?

This cycle lies at the very heart of what experts have come to know as the KTTY Soulprint.

The KTTY Soulprint

Every KTTY carries a Soulprint, the unique mark of its being. A Soulprint is made up of two parts:

• Identity: the essence of who a KTTY is.

• Expression: the way that essence shines through.

Together, these two traits shape each companion into something wholly their own. No two Soulprints are ever exactly alike.

When a KTTY’s Soulprint meets a Tamer’s Personality and Archetype, the fourfold bond creates a powerful phenomenon known as Resonance. Resonance shapes not only how Tamers and KTTYs grow together, but can also awaken hidden potential.

What Resonance truly unlocks is still under study by the top minds of the Sanctuary. But for now, one truth is certain: every Soulprint is a key, and Resonance is the lock it may yet open.

For now it can only be confirmed that Soulprints will play an active part in the upcoming Tamer Forge and KTTY Mining Colony systems. There are also rumours of beneficial effects for Tamers embarking on missions...

Identity

At the foundation of every KTTY lies its Identity; the essence of who they are.

Identities are not fleeting moods or habits, but deep currents that tie every KTTY back to the ancient forces of Felysia. These currents are split up into the Four Great Lineages.

Solara

Solara KTTYs shine with energy, warmth, and optimism. They’re often seen as natural leaders or guiding lights, brimming with curiosity and a sense of new beginnings.

Umbra

Umbra KTTYs are tied to shadow, dusk, and mystery. Some are quiet observers, others are playful tricksters who vanish when you blink.

Primeria

Primeria KTTYs are full of wild energy and raw instinct. They bite, chase, wrestle, and roar with life. These companions carry the untamed strength of the natural world, sometimes fierce, sometimes fiercely loyal. Primeria Identities shape KTTYs that thrive in freedom and action.

Mystia

Mystia KTTYs feel like dreamers. They gaze into the stars, act on strange hunches, or seem to know things before they happen. Their Identities connect them to ideas of prophecy, celestial wonder, and hidden truths. Mystia companions often feel whimsical, yet uncannily wise.

Expression

Expression represents how a KTTY displays its identity. They fall under what have come to be known as the 5 Aspects of the Soul: Bravery, Wisdom, Insight, Spirit and Harmony.

They come in 2 main varieties:

Pure Expressions: KTTYs that specialize in one clear form of an Aspect.

Specialist Expressions: a KTTY that doesn’t focus on just one angle, but combines the strength of all the Pure Expressions into a more...complete form.

Bravery

These KTTYs embody courage in all its forms. Some guard, some endure, some leap ahead, and some give of themselves without hesitation. Each is brave in a different way.

Wisdom KTTYs are steady thinkers and seekers of truth. Some wait patiently, some pursue knowledge, some weigh choices, and some glimpse higher clarity.

Insight

Insight is about vision. Not just seeing, but understanding. Some KTTYs notice the present moment, some study the past, some glimpse the future, and some cut through to hidden truths.

Spirit KTTYs brim with inner fire. They live with conviction, throwing themselves into what they believe in with unshakable drive. Some heal, some fight, some guide, and some channel unseen powers - but all radiate passion that inspires those around them.

Harmony

Harmony KTTYs embody equilibrium. They steady the flow of life around them, weaving opposites into unity. Some restore, some protect, some orchestrate, but all carry a sense of balance that makes them anchors in a shifting world.

Nametags

Every companion deserves a name. In the near future, Tamers will be able to bestow their KTTY with a Nametag - a lasting mark of identity chosen by you.

Some Tamers may choose playful nicknames, others honorific titles, or even echoes of ancient legends. Whatever the choice, the Nametag becomes part of your KTTY’s Soulprint, a reflection of the bond you share.

This feature is still being prepared at the Sanctuary, but soon every Tamer will have the chance to name their companion in a way that makes it truly their own.
