Sanctuary Field Report 047: Mineral Resonance Beneath the Felysian Crust

Tamers, I bring thrilling news from the excavation sites. Deep within the crust of Felysia, we have uncovered mineral signatures that respond directly to KTTY resonance. These crystalline forms hum in perfect harmonic sync with their Soulprints.

Our machines cannot touch them; only living Companions can. The Mining Colonies are being formed to harness these remarkable minerals for research and use in the Forge.

For now, we have mapped and stabilized the first layer of caves. But the sensors below hum with the frequency of something deeper, a second layer of chambers far beyond our current reach: the Deep Shaft.

If we are to reach it, we will need to strengthen our equipment, refine our operations, and rely on our KTTYs more than ever before.

What is the Mining Colony?

The Mining Colony is the newest pillar of the Industrial KTTY Revolution, forming a crucial counterpart to the Tamer Forge.

It’s where Companions are sent to excavate resources that power every layer of the KTTY ecosystem, from crafting and forging to trading and beyond.

Each KTTY contributes differently to the mining process, bringing unique resonance traits that influence the outcome. Strategic team-building, equipment upgrades, and active management determine your colony’s efficiency and yield.

Building the Experience

The Mining Colony represents the next leap in the KTTY Continuum Model, advancing from web-based interaction to real-time experiences.

Built in Unity, both the Forge and the Colony expand immersion through animated environments, upgradeable infrastructure, and hands-on management.

Each release will push KTTY World closer to feeling truly alive, not just as systems but as places you can see, feel, and shape.

Colony Structure

The Colony consists of nine cave areas, each serving a distinct function within your operation.

Each cave area can hold up to six KTTYs.

  • Central HQ: Your base where you refine, purify, and transport resources back to the Forge.

  • Mining Caves: Each features unique mineral compositions and environments: lava veins, crystal chambers, magical rifts, water caverns, fungal grottos, and monster dens.

There are even whispers of an area filled with unstable energy...

Players begin with the HQ and one active cave, for a total of twelve KTTY slots. As your equipment and Colony progress, new caves unlock, expanding your workforce to 54 in total.

You only need two KTTYs to begin mining, but each additional Companion dramatically improves your yield rate, refinement quality, and discovery potential.

The Overview Map

Your mining interface is built for clarity, management, and immersion.

  • Overview Map: Displays all caves currently unlocked, each showing mining status, storage fill, and morale levels at a glance.

  • Detailed Cave View: Selecting a cave opens a close-up perspective where you can manage miner assignments, monitor tool conditions, and oversee transport runs.

  • Headquarters (HQ): Serves as your command center and logistical heart of the Colony.

HQ Facilities

  • Teleportation Pad: Transports mined resources directly to the Tamer Forge for processing.

  • Mine Merchant: Trades rare goods, resource packs, and temporary boosts.

  • Provision Transport: Handles the delivery of food and supplies to maintain miner morale.
Provisions consume PAW to prepare and transport, linking your colony’s economy back into the broader ecosystem loop.

HQ

Resources

The mines of Felysia contain a variety of materials, each serving a vital purpose within the wider KTTY World economy.

Shards

The most common and versatile resource in the mines. Shards appear in multiple elemental varieties and are refined into Crafting Materials used within the Forge.

Shards

Gem Fragments

Rare crystalline formations found in deep mineral veins. These are refined into Catalysts, special reagents used for advanced crafting and gear upgrades.

Gems

Minerals

Raw ore deposits that, once refined, are converted into PAW, our primary in-game operational currency.

Minerals

Morale

Each miner’s morale determines how efficiently they work and how long they can sustain operations before fatigue sets in.

Morale naturally decreases over time and can be replenished by supplying food and provisions from your central HQ. Provisions require PAW to prepare, creating an ongoing rhythm between resource management and productivity.

Low morale reduces mining speed and shard yield, while high morale grants subtle boosts across the board. Balancing your workforce’s well-being becomes key to keeping your colony operating at peak efficiency.

Management & Events

The Mining Colony rewards consistent attention without demanding it.

  • Storage: Full storage halts production until transported.

  • Tool Durability: Tools degrade with use and must be maintained.

  • Mine Merchant Shop: Rotating deals and Catalyst trades.

  • Mine Disturbances: Randomly occurring events requiring player interaction. Resolving them grants a chance at receiving Forbidden Gems.

Colony Register: Breed Resonance

Each KTTY breed influences the mining process differently, creating synergy across your active miners. The Colony Register tracks these effects and applies bonuses based on your composition.

Core KTTYs

  • Momo: Increased tool durability.

  • Terra: Increased shard yield.

  • Spark: Increased PAW yield.

  • Cryo: Increased storage overflow capacity.

  • Bloom: Chance for double shard drops.

  • Lumen: Increased gem fragment discovery chance.

  • Cinder: Increased mining speed.

  • Nimbus: Increased transport efficiency.

Null KTTYs

  • Echo: Randomly amplifies or nullifies the next yield.

  • Astra: Raises Catalyst find rate at the cost of slower mining speed.

  • Weis: Boosts productivity of other KTTYs in the same cave but accelerates morale loss.

  • Torr: Increases shard yield but causes faster tool wear.

  • Moro: Raises the frequency of mine-disturbance events, creating chances to uncover Forbidden Gems once resolved.

Progression System

Your Colony evolves over time as you refine operations, gain experience, and upgrade equipment.

Colony Levels

Transporting hauls to the Forge grants EXP. Leveling up unlocks skill branches, new caves, and improved automation systems.

Equipment Upgrades

Upgrading your mining equipment is key to expansion. Stronger drills and resonance amplifiers allow access to deeper cave areas containing new resources and additional miner slots.

Skill Tree Branches

  • Efficiency: Increases mining speed and overall yield.

  • Capacity: Expands storage and reduces overflow penalties.

  • Extraction: Improves rare material and Catalyst drop rates.

Keystone Skills

As you progress, powerful Keystone Skills can be unlocked, offering unique enhancements that affect your entire operation, from refining bonuses to global efficiency perks.

Advancement requires investment in PAW and skill points gained from leveling up.

$KTTY & Premium Features

Built for dedicated players, premium features represent technological and administrative upgrades designed to make colony management smoother and more rewarding, not mandatory.

Boosts

Temporary enhancements that can be activated using $KTTY. Boosts affect core metrics such as mining speed, shard and gem drop rates, and PAW yield. They are time-limited and intended for players who want to accelerate progress during active play sessions.

Boosts

Gadgets

Experimental technology created by the Tamer Association’s engineers. Gadgets will automate or enhance various aspects of mining, from automated transport and cave maintenance to morale recovery and hazard mitigation. Some may even alter environmental factors in specific cave types.

Auto Carrier Synergized

Licenses

Licenses act as renewable administrative permits that optimize your mining operations.

  • Storage License: Expands colony storage capacity.

  • Trade License: Reduces PAW fees on mining activities.

  • Maintenance License: Extends tool durability and reduces repair costs.

These systems together ensure that while the Mining Colony remains accessible to all players, those investing deeper in its logistics and upkeep will see tangible, lasting benefits.

Relics

Relics are rare artifacts unearthed from the mines. They provide temporary, colony-wide effects that can alter the rhythm of operations. Only one Relic can be equipped at a time, and each fades after its power is spent.

## Beyond Mining

Even once your mining team reaches full capacity, additional KTTYs can still contribute by powering refinery machinery, generating Reputation Points.

Every KTTY matters. From miners to overseers to energy conductors, each contributes to the lifeblood of Felysia’s industrial age.

Conclusion

The Mining Colony marks the next step in the Industrial KTTY Revolution, completing the loop that began with Missions and the Forge. Together, these systems form the heartbeat of KTTY World’s evolving economy, a cycle where effort, time, and creativity converge into lasting value.

As the Companions arrive, the foundations of this new layer will come online. The forges are lit, the tunnels await their first miners, and the world beneath Felysia is ready to open.

The Industrial Age of KTTY World is about to begin.
